Watching Over Us is about two people sharing the same space while experiencing the world very differently.

His world is small and enclosed, reduced to a quiet room and a corner. Hers is expansive, spiritual, and alive, opening into water, sky, and something greater beyond the walls around them. The lotus blossom between them symbolizes her trying to open him up—to help him see more, feel more, and recognize a larger world than the one he has confined himself to.
